The weather in Evanston, much like Chicago, can be unpredictable. Residents of Evanston experience all four seasons. There is snow in the winter, rain in the spring and heat in the summer. Because of Evanston’s proximity to the lake, there is a lake breeze prevalent throughout most of the year. In January, the average temperature is 22 degrees; in April, the average is 46 degrees; in July the average is 73; and October, the average is 52.
